Last event that kept us close to Poland took place – Niki’s sister wedding. Both of them were very excited and so – the atmosphere was pretty tense. Fortunately everything went smoooooothly and after running some errands we left to travel again. This time – to Portugal, but first things first.
The wedding itself turned out to be a lot of fun despite the amount of work behind it. I had to learn also a new tie knot as the regular ones were too… cliche. So while Niki was enjoying some time off I was sitting and trying to solve the “how-to-tie-a-tie” riddle.
Niki was spending her time with jigsaw puzzle, 2000 pieces, sitting in her new training outfit ripped literally from the 1980’s. She is very fond of it alright.
Apart from getting our looks ready for the ceremony we also were preparing new, improved, better, more exhausting and more spectacular show.
We wanted it all to be perfect for the wedding. The evening before we came down to help a bit with preparations of the room – Niki was helping with table decorations and Nick was doing curtains chores.
After a short while everything was ready. The owner was such a nice lady; she gave us all some trifle!
The next thing to do in the morning- making ourselves look presentable. Hairdresser it is! Oh dear. *Niki doesn’t like the second photo*
We don’t have photos from the wedding yet, but we’ll have them soon (I hope). Everything worked, the bride was beautiful, the ceremony was nice and the party was great. We danced, we laughed and our show was a great hit! Although we still have a lot to improve. ^^
During next days we were resting. Finally. Our bodies were completely exhausted and so were our minds. But this time nothing holds us back anymore, we can just go and travel freely! This thought kept us going until our next departure. And not only that- Niki discovered a Rubik’s cube again. She always wanted to learn how to solve it, so she fell into a stubborn practice mode. Nothing could pull her away, nothing…
Nick got infected with a “solving Rubik’s cube bug” too. Now we both can do it!
A few days ago we’ve decided to go to Western Europe, as the weather in the middle did not look too inviting. There will be Paris, Nantes and Spain on our way and our goal is… Porto! On the day of our departure (Saturday) Niki woke up with a swollen gum, so we had to reschedule for Sunday. Dentist (turns out it’s her wisdom tooth growing), stolen NEW Nick’s motorcycle gloves, not so tasty food, rain, shitty fire show due to technical problems – these are only some parts of this horrible day. We got so sad it was hard to leave on Sunday… But once we’ve hit the road again it all got better. We’re staying with Niki’s cousin Agata in Cologne for a few days and then we go to Paris. Everything will come together eventually, just like pieces of the Rubik’s cube (that Niki managed to solve on a motorcycle).
Until next time!
